Ajit Ninan

A well known Indian political cartoonist, he is best known for drawing the Centrestage series of cartoons in India Today magazine and Ninan’s world in the Times of India. Moochwala , his most famous cartoon strip, ran for many years in Target Magazine for Children and was published by the India Today Group.

Ambika Ananth

One of the Founding Editors of the literary e-journal 'Muse India', Ananth is a writer, poet, journalist, reviewer and translator. She has twelve published works in English and Telugu in various forms of literature like prose, poetry and short stories

Aniruddha Mukherjee

A painter, illustrator and photographer, Mukherjee usually finds his ideas at the stroke of his long beard. He is often spotted next to a huge pile of books.

Aparna Srivastava

Srivastava is a writer, researcher and dancer. A graduate in Media and Cultural Studies from TISS Mumbai, she is also a documentary filmmaker and her films have been screened at various festivals in India.

Atanu Roy

With over 100 children’s books under his belt, Atanu Roy has devoted much of his creative prowess to children’s literature. Roy’s use of bold colours and vivid details, capture the hearts and eyes of his readers. It’s no surprise then that Roy, who once worked as a political cartoonist for India Today, has won awards like the Children’s Choice Award for Book Illustrations and the IBBY Certificate of Honour for Illustrations.

Bina Agarwal

Agarwal is a renowned writer and translator who has translated many books from Hindi to English for children.

Bindia Thapar

Bindia Thapar was an architect by training and an illustrator by choice. She designed and illustrated a wide variety of books, and was best known for her drawings for children.

Debasmita Dasgupta

Dasgupta does social campaigns for non-profit organisations. She loves illustrating for children's books and has a special interest in cinema, theatre and music. Currently, she resides in Singapore.

Farzeen Kapadia

A freelance illustrator and graphic designer, Kapadia is in her natural habitat when illustrating books for children.

Geeta Dharmarajan

Geeta Dharmarajan loves writing for children. She received the Padma Shri in 2012 for her work in literature and education. She was also the joint winner of the Business Standard Award for Social Entrepreneur of the Year in 2018.

An activist, social scientist, poet and author, Bhasin's work spans over four decades and focuses on gender, education and human development.

Mala Marwah

An Indian writer and illustrator, Marwah loves stories, both in words and in pictures.

Mamta Nainy

An avid reader, Nainy has a keen interest in art and literature. She loves reading books by Sukumar Ray and Abanindranath Tagore, her all time favourites. Her other musings include failed attempts at drawing, a strong fixation with the river and an uncanny relationship with her pen. It took her a while before she realised that her calling was in fact writing books for children. Mamta Nainy is a children's book editor. She also moonlights as a writer and has a number of books to her credit. She loves travelling but is too lazy to do it, so she makes do with reading.

Mistunee Chowdhury

Mistunee Chowdhury is a freelance illustrator and loves playing with colours, papers , clothes , clay and eraser. She has done caricatures, and illustrated for picture books , comics, story books for NBT, Hachette India, Scholastic, etc.

Partha Sengupta

Graduated from Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata, Sengupta was previously associated with Hindustan Times as an illustrator. He has illustrated a number of books for well known publishing houses such as National Book Trust, Pratham Books and Scholastic India.

Prerana Choudhury

A graduate in arts and aesthetics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Choudhury is a writer, editor and translator. When not working, she loves to travel and dabble poetry.

Saba Hasan

An artist with an eclectic contemporary repertoire consisting of installations, paintings, photographs, voice works and videos, Hasan has also acted as an art educator conducting innovative workshops and community art projects at the Kiran Nadar Musuem, Jamia University and Artreach.

Sonal Gupta Vaswani

Sonal Gupta Vaswani is an artist, illustrator and an animator, based in Mumbai. She has illustrated several books for children for fisher price, karadi tales, UNICEF and Pratham.

Srividya Natarajan

She is known for her book, No Onions Nor Garlic, a comic satire on caste and two graphic novels, A Gardener in the Wasteland and Bhimayana. A student of the great dance master, Kittappa Pillai, she has taught and performed classical dance for over 22 years in India and abroad. Currently she teaches English at King’s University College, University of Western Ontario.

Sujata Singh

Sujata Singh is an illustrator based out of New Delhi. Sujata studied at the Central School of Art and Design in Khartoum, Sudan, and also at the Wimbledon School of Art and Design.

Vanshika Goyal

A writer, editor and translator of children’s books, Goyal is passionate about linguistic diversity. She keep exploring and experimenting with vocabularies across North Indian dialects through poetry.
