Bharti Dayal is a Madhubani artist from Samastipur Bihar. She is a recipient of National Award for Excellence in Handicrafts in 2006.

Bhuri Bai Bhil hails from the Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh. She is a natural learner and picked up the art of painting from the village badwa’s paint, the traditional Bhil Pithora. She is presently associated with the Tribal Museum of Bhopal. She is the first Bhil artist to use paper and is known for her drawings of the flora and fauna of the region. She has been honoured by ‘Shikhar Samman’ (1986-1987) and 'Ahillya Sanman' from the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Dilip Rama Bahotha is a Warli tribal artist from Warkhanda village of Maharashtra. He participates in exhibitions all
over India.

Durga Bai is a tribal artist from the Gond tradition in Madhya Pradesh, and is gifted with artistic finesse and style. Her figurative works, rich in colours and folding in the intricate patterns, lend themselves perfectly for children’s books. She loves painting folktales and legends and is grateful to her grandmother for telling her so many stories in her childhood.

Klara Köttner-Benigni was an Austrian writer, journalist and conservationist. From her younger days, she had a keen interest in animal welfare and nature conservation.

Warli artist, Naresh S Bhoye paints stories and imagery, in his unique style, from his native village, Talasari and has participated in many exhibitions and artist residency programmes.

The Indian Madhubani artist, Nitin Kumar Jha, works in black and white on a yellow background using natural dyes on handmade paper.

Ramesh Tekam is a renowned Gond artist and has been painting animals using bold strokes and vibrant colours for more than twenty years.

A Pardhan Gond artist, Vyam has been working with clay since the age of ten. He then went on to make sculptures in wood but gave it up due to lack of buyers for bulky sculptures. Since then, he's been painting on paper and canvas and has illustrated his first book, Bhimayana, along with his wife, Durgabai Vyam.

Vidushini Prasad is a Madhubani (Mithila) Artist hailing from Bihar, the state where Madhubani paintings originated. She works on different types of handmade paper, silk and fabrics.
