Avvaiyar
Avvaiyar was a revered Tamil poetess and moral philosopher, traditionally dated to the Sangam period. Celebrated for her wisdom and simplicity, she composed enduring ethical works such as Aathichoodi, Kondrai Vendhan, and Nalvazhi. Writing in accessible language, Avvaiyar promoted values of virtue, learning, humility, and compassion.
