Vijay Tendulkar was an Indian playwright, television and film writer, political and social commentator and literary essayist in Marathi. He is a recipient of the National Film Award for Best Screenplay for Manthan, several Filmfare Awards, the Padma Bhushan Award and the Katha Chudamani Award.
