Born in Goa, Louis Menezes is a priest of the Catholic Church and the member of the Society of Jesus - Jesuits- which is committed to education and services for the underprivileged in India. Menezes is a polyglot who is fluent equally in Konkani and Marathi, and has compiled a dictionary of the Warau Language comprising over 3,000 words and phrases while serving in Guyana. He has also translated from Latin ti English.
