Krishna Bhuyan wrote his first short story at the age of 16 and continued writing for nearly seven decades more, publishing stories mostly in the numerous journals of Assam. His last story was published in Bihu special of Asam Bani in April, 1998. He has to his credit two novels, five radio plays and a collection of poems, besides numerous short stories.
