Homen Borgohain (1932–2021) was a poet, short story writer, novelist, essayist and journalist. He was honoured with several awards, including the Asom Valley Literary Award, the Sahitya Akademi Award, Asom Prakashan Parishad Award, along with numerous recognitions for his contributions to journalism. His writings have been translated into several Indian languages. He passed away in 2021.
