Bant Basu received the Tarashankar Memorial Award for her novel Antarghat in 1991 and the Nikhil Bharat Bangla Sahitya Sammelan Award for lifetime literacy achievement in 1996. In 1997, she was awarded the Shiromoni Puraskar and the Ananda Puroskar for her novel Maitreya Jatak.
